Biography

I was born and grew up in Madrid, Spain. My mother, a sculptor and published author, would allow me to join her in her studio while she worked. She would give me some modeling clay or paints so I could entertain myself as she worked. I learned at her side for many years.
After moving to California and finishing my degree at Santa Clara University, I continued to work primarily with oils on canvas. After several years, I moved to Tucson to complete graduate work at the University of Arizona. It was there where I met my husband with whom I now have two beautiful daughters.
While in Arizona, I began working with ceramics. From the moment I made my first pinch pot, I was in love with the medium. The infinite possibilities for shapes and forms keep me constantly daydreaming of new creations.
I now reside and work in the San Francisco Bay Area (CA), where I hope to spend many happy and creative years.
