Inspired by the extravagant use of ribbons and lace in the Versaille court. Three layers of pleats cascade down the front of the Claudine Baroque shoe. The ultramarine interior is reminicent of the dark blue velvet used to line many shoes and contrasts against the exterior's pastel hue.
Stoneware piece handcrafted from clay slab and hand-pleated pieces. Underglazed in orchid and ultramarine before its first firing, then underglazed in beige and brushed off to show additional detail. Finished with clear glaze to bring out shine.
