Handmade clay tiles glazed in iron oxide and clear glaze. Framed in a custom shadow boxes. The inset where the tile is placed and the sides of the frame are painted in color for contrast.

The tiles show a single tree and the cross-section of its roots and the ground beneath. I created a mold from the winter tile and modified it to depict spring, summer, and autumn for this series of wall pieces.
